Music Tampa Bay is now reviewing the top songs of 2009, and using your votes to determine the best songs of the year.
Regular programming has been suspended while this process is taking place, with only those songs on the 
Top 100 list and the top 10 songs from the past week being heard. Tune in to Music Tampa Bay (listen now!), review the top 100 songs of ‘09, pick your favorite, then head over to the front page to vote.
Ten songs will be listed on the front page each day. Songs getting the least number of votes will be replaced with others from this year.
You can also nominate songs for the list, and even suggest which songs should be eliminated by simply making comments in the Guestbook. Once the final list is determined, it will be permanently displayed, along with a similar list from 2008, which can also be seen at the website.
Listeners can vote once each day until January 10. Voting is simple with one click. No registration or other identification is required.
As far as it can be determined, this is the only interactive on-line voting taking place for original songs by local artists in the Tampa Bay area. To vote, or simply to listen to the best songs from 2009, go to MusicTampaBay.com.
