Help

Clicking “help” at the top of a screen usually brings up instructions on how to use the site or program. Not here. I’ve tried to make all links fairly self-explanatory, so the only advice I can give you is to point and click at will.

In this instance, “help” means help me. We try to sell advertising here, but I really, really, really, really suck at it.  Therefore, we make just enough to cover our hosting costs and maybe buy lunch for the other writers now and again.

There are a myriad of ways you can help to keep this site alive and kicking.  Let’s start right here on the website.

I can always use local writers.  We have hosted several great contributors here, but they don’t get paid much, and typically burn out.  Want to sell ads on Sticks of Fire?  I’ll give you a big hunk of any dough you bring in.  If you are not a writer or sales guru, but want to help with other administrative aspects, let me know.

Want a website?  I can create one for you or your business.  Want to get visitors to your existing website?  I can help you navigate the world of social media.   Want to make your existing site better?  Want to better understand how a blog can help your specific business?  I’m available for consult.

Some people like the way I write, and I have no need to rely on spellcheck.  If you need anything edited or rewritten, or a press release from scratch or maybe you need a ghostblogger, give me a buzz.

If you have a business, please consider placing an advertisement on Sticks of Fire.  We have all sorts of ways to announce your goods and services to Tampa Bay, plus you will brag about helping out a local treasure (Sticks of Fire has been voted Tampa Bay’s best blog for four years in a row).  If you are interested in advertising or a sponsorship check the rates, send me an email, and we’ll work something out.  Barter is not out of the question.

Another great way to help keep this site alive and running is to visit our sponsors.  You will see an ad here and there on the site.  If any of those vendors might have some goods that you want or need, I encourage you to visit them, and please let them know that you saw them on Sticks of Fire.

Make me an offer – If you see anything here that interests you, want to buy my car, or just have a good feeling about what we do, and you want to copy, borrow, or buy it, just ask.

Maybe you need some live musical entertainment. My rock ‘n’ roll band would be happy to play your special engagement.  We have played all sorts of affairs, and have helped many events become a great success.  We’ve done Krewe parties, company parties, holiday parties, backyard barbecues, weddings, bikini contests, sporting events – I could go on and on.  Contact me if you need some rock ‘n’ roll at your party, and at the very least, come listen to our noise most weekends at the Proud Lion Restaurant.
